Day 1 Vodafone London Fashion Weekend

Day 1 of the Vodafone London Fashion Weekend certainly lived up to its expectation as the ultimate luxury designer fashion experience in London!

Kicking off at 11am, Somerset House opened its door to the hundreds of fashionistas from around the globe and countless flocked to the label.m Makeover Area to get their individual fashion fix to take advantage of this fantastic label.m offering! Didn’t we say the hair is the MUST HAVE fashion accessory?

It didn’t stop there! In just 4 hours we sold out of the NEW label.m Texturising Volume Spray! Swiftly replenished from the TONI&GUY on-site salon’s stock, it was by far the quickest selling product of the day, and who would be surprised - lived in texture and volume with a bit of attitude is THE hair trend of the moment. That extra hold in the product allows you to easily carry the look from day through to night. 

The designer showcase opened with the TREND SHOWS and it was obvious the models had picked up some tips from the beautiful Jasmin Le Bon who had coached them just moments earlier. The efforts paid off and the collection shown of this season’s 4 top trends came to life with loads of positivity and fun. PRECIOUS METALS was the first trend on the catwalk, with designers from Balmain to Marni opting for vibrant hues with an iridescent finish; or turning vibrant colours and slinky satin finishes for a futuristic vibe. Either way, don’t be afraid to sparkle!

The highlight of the day had to be the Amanda Wakeley show inspired by Nightime African Safari meets 70s glam. The night & day collection featured sensual goddess-like gowns and embellished kaftans combining tribal prints with metallic and simple geometrics. One piece you won’t want to leave without? Definitely the jumpsuit!

The brains behind the hair was headed by Philipp Huag with the label.m and TONI&GUY International Artistic team. Philip opted for a geometric sleek and chic textured ponytail with a deep side parting to accompany the casual glam of the clothes. The hair was first prepped with label.m Volume Mousse for a slightly dishevelled effect and then spritzed with label.m Sea Salt Spray at the front of the crown area. Finally a combination of label.m Hairspray and label.m Texturising Volume Spray was used to finish for a textured hold.
 
If this wasn’t enough, Phillip then moved on to the Vodafone Lounge to give an exclusive expert talk about how you can easily translate the amazing catwalk hair trends at home, presenting one of the Fashion Fix looks - as seen at GILES. I definitely got inspired and I am sporting the Textured Robe Braid today myself, created with THE texturizing and volumising product of the moment – and I am sure at this point you guessed which!? 
                         
Finally, the big talking point was the new label.m collaboration with GILES. We’ve been treating Vodafone London Fashion Weekend visitors to an exclusive preview of the BRAND NEW Limited Edition ‘Giles for label.m’ designer sunglasses. With turtle shell and soft pink frames, they suit absolutely everybody. Oh and did we mention we’ve a few pairs up for grabs via the daily competition we’re running at the label.m Makeover Area.
