Day 2 London Fashion Weekend Sept 2015
Second day in at London Fashion Weekend, the sun was out (hooray!) and the footfall gathered pace as eager shoppers started to make their way into the gallery for a spend frenzy...
We love how quirky British brand House of Holland, has designed three t-shirts which has gone on sale exclusively at London Fashion Weekend – with his cheeky take on ‘word-play’ inspiration. We spied how Henry used ‘London Fashion Weekend’ to inspire a new ‘Fashion Werk’ - as worn by Angela Scanlon at the Peter Pilotto show (Black t-shirt with 'Fashion Week' written on it) so very ‘fashion daaarling!’
At the bigger and better TONI&GUY Fashion Fix Bar, it was a day full of creative new looks - from wavy blow-dries created using our best selling label.m Texturising Volume Spray and label.m Sea Salt Spray, to LOTS And LOTS of braiding (still a major trend for SS’16) and an array of beehives that would make even Bridget Bardot jealous!
With the launch of the new TONI&GUY Hair Accessories continuing to go down a storm with visitors, we saw clients embracing a further FIVE new Fashion Fix looks introduced this season – why not pop down to get yours now?!
So to the Trend show, where we witnessed the fantastic design duo - Peter Pilotto, who have worked both separately as well as collaboratively since 2007... Inspired by board games the collection saw multi-coloured embroidery, silver hardware, and simple silhouettes from pencil skirts - with a flare at the hem to delicate prints.
Here’s a sum-up of four key trends you need right now for AW15 as seen at the shows:
'Into the Wild' - bags, jackets, coats, shoes are all embracing textures and animal prints. Bring out your ‘inner wild child’ with anything from: Cheetah, Zebra, Leopard and Snake prints a-plenty.
'Punk Rocks'- safety pins, leather tartan, velvet, think – ‘McQueen’ and ‘Westwood’ rule Brittania!
'Super Retro' - the 70s are still gracing us with the fever of flower-power, loud prints, pleated skirts and Suede mini skirts... Serious Autumnal statement pieces!
'Masala Tones' – Burgundy, ‘oozing blood’ tones and Plum shades make for ‘pitch perfect’ colour-blocking this season, so bag your chosen hue piece to off-set with Black – easy!
