Day 1 London Fashion Weekend returns - 24-27 Sept 2015
September marks a true sense of seasonal change when we say ‘goodbye’ flip-flops and ‘hello’ to lust-worthy new collections as the winter chill looms in.
So let’s fast-forward to London Fashion Weekend which started yesterday - paying homage over four days as 'Fashion's Biggest Pop-up.'
This exciting event has also changed venues and now resides within the contemporary setting of the Saatchi Gallery, in the heart of Chelsea - think 'fantasy department store' and you're on the right track. Where else for the budding fashion jet-setter?
Can't make it down? Then stay tuned between now and Sunday, where you can 'jump the queue' online, with our lively highlights of back-to-back catwalk show trends, peek in on a special expert talk presentation by one of our own International Artistic Directors on the hair accessory trend, plus there's daily on-site competitions, as well as a new designer xmas gifts preview.
Yesterday's opening showcased our new huge show-space - the TONI&GUY FASHION FIX with label.m area located on the second floor which visitors are already loving! There's an array of 10 incredible Fashion Fix looks' inspired by runway trends, plus the unveiling of a new blow-dry styling menu, as well as an exclusive preview to the new range of TONI&GUY Hair Accessories on sale in October.
In addition label.m is launching an exciting new platform called label-me which is all about 'sharing your look' - so definitely come down and get 'snap-papped', as we are looking for the next face of label.m's new ad campaign 2016!
What more - who doesn't want to be a winner? You may well be in with a chance to get yourself an exclusive, not-yet-available, GILES for label.m designer Scarf plus a TONI&GUY Accessory with FIVE up for grabs.
Naturally we cannot talk about trends without a focus on catwalk hair and so in terms of the Trend and Designer shows - courtesy of TONI&GUY Session headed by International Artistic Director Philip Haug, the creation was of cool, loose waves with a slightly textured movement and a clean, sleek hair line.
Says Philipp, “For London Fashion Weekend we wanted to keep the hair relatively natural. What is quite unique for this season, is that we've seen a lot of hair-down on the catwalk, so instead of putting it up into strong ponytails - we've left it down with a more natural look.
We also worked with a slight side-parting, which we changed between both the Trend and Designer shows. The designer chosen this season is ISSA and they wanted to change the look slightly from a side-parting into a centre-parting which always gives a lot more strength into the overall look.”
Key products to note in terms of what was used backstage: label.m Volume Mousse and label.m Sea Salt Spray - both available at special show prices for the weekend.
Pop down and see us this weekend!
