Day 3 at LFW AW14 with TONI&GUY and label.m
How can we be at the half way point already?! Time flies when you’re surrounded by grips and Volume Mousse!
My first assignment on Day 3 was to get my hair all camera ready for filming backstage. I headed to the on-site TONI&GUY Blow Out Bar and opted for one of my all time fave Fashion Fixes - the ‘Pretty in Punk’ look.
A huge thank-you to Luke from TONI&GUY Fleet for doing the braids so beautifully!
From there I ran over to Fashion Scout where Pinar Necati was heading the team backstage at Apu Jan.
Pinar was working with themes of ‘dishevelled femininity’ and used label.m Sea Salt Spray to create the textured locks and give that real lived in feel…
From there it was time to make the most of the good weather and shoot some street style pics for the label.m page on WIWT.
How brilliant is this yellow and leopard outfit?! Puts my uber casual look look to shame!
But all the running about is totally worth it when you manage to get backstage to see looks like the 60s Mimi Fasi do being created…
This show was being headed up by Richard Mannah and was another show which I’d had the pleasure of sitting in the Hair Test for.
This was the look on me earlier in the week at the concept stage…
And as you can see the finished look wasn’t far off what we’d worked on earlier in the week, albeit with a little bit of extra height to just really make it have that extra impact on the catwalk…
I love the catwalk shot above as you can really see how beautiful this look was from behind. The classic French roll really complemented the ladylike collection, but Richard managed to keep it from looking too prim and proper by keeping a few loose flyaways.
From there it was time for my final show of the day - Yulia Kondranina.
Silje Vincent was heading up the team for this show and I knew it was going to be a great one as soon as she said there was a grunge theme and that label.m Souffle was being used at the roots!
It was such a fierce way to end Day 3 and I wanted aaaaaaaaall of Yulia’s collection. Whether or not I’d ever be cool enough to wear it is another thing altogether!
All in all, another fabulous day with TONI&GUY and label.m which left me with plenty of hair inspo and ideas to try at home.
Next up is the show we’ve all been waiting for….GILES!
I can’t wait see what the master comes up with this season :D
