Vodafone London Fashion Weekend Feb 2015 Day 3
Three days in and it appeared that the sun just didn't want to show its face - again .... however, no amount of grey cloud was going to dampen the spirit of savvy shoppers - after all - it's officially the weekend…so hello Saturday!
Highlights for Day 3 - well let's start with The Outnet.com Trend show, where red-headed Irish beauty Angela Scanlon presented the audience with the latest season's offering and let's be honest - how much better could it get with up to 90% discount? Now that's a designer must-have if ever there was one!
So the four key trends? ‘Make it Monochrome’, and as Angela quite rightly put it "We don’t seem to have a problem adopting this one in London!" Did someone say black is back?!
‘Hyper Floral’ was a gorgeous display of beautiful botanicals, where florals were made to feel brand new thanks to oversized petals and' pops' of colour.
Next was Shimmer and Shine’ metallics, glitter, pastels styled like you’ve never seen before. Finally the decade that brought us Boho yes…’That Seventies show’ was back! Everything from Suede, Crochet and Lace were given a contemporary twist.
At the Halston Designer Show, it was fantastic to see the return of the legendary 70's New York label which relaunched back in 2012. As the creator of 'luxury American fashion', famous for using signature materials such as Jersey, Cashmere, and Suede to reinvent the jumpsuit, shirt-dress, and the classic Kaftan; this season saw Halston stay true to its roots, but reinventing those silhouettes with a modern attitude of waist cut outs and metallic floor length dresses which really caught our eye.
Behind the scenes, Philipp Haug International Artistic Director, TONI&GUY and the rest of session team created hair which saw models sporting either sleek, straight styles or ponytails.
Either way the hair was styled off the face, to give more focus to the clothes,
- sleek, simplistic, straight and sultry. Not a finger wave or loose curl in sight.

Definitely an action-packed Saturday!
