Day 3 at LFW SS15 (and 10 years as Official Sponsors of London Fashion Week!)

Well I can’t quite believe that we’re already half way through LFW SS15!

Clearly all the fashion fabulousness has gotten to me as I rocked up this morning in a brighter than bright clashing animal print outfit, with a shirt from C.Wonder and skirt from Warehouse. My hair is basically just rammed full of label.m Volume Mousse…and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

You need to head to WIWT if you want to see what all the other show-goers were wearing today. But prepare for outfit envy ;)

My first job of the day was to head backstage at Apu Jan and spy on Indira Schauwecker and the team. You can always trust Indira to bring a little extra ‘something’ in her session kit, but yarns of wool?! That was definitely an added extra I hadn’t seen backstage before!

The collection featured lots of sky-inspired blues and fluffy whites, so Indira wanted to bring this cloud idea through to the hair look by integrating wool into the hair.

The hair was scraped into a superbly tight high pony tail with wool being used to disguise the elastics which held the pony in place. Strands of wool were then interwoven with the hair to create a dramatic fishtail plait.

To keep a contrast and emphasise the idea of fluffy clouds, the front of the hair was softened with label.m Resurrection Dust whilst the rest stayed scraped back and perfectly smooth with label.m Hairspray. Yeah. It was pretty perfect!

Once we’d been to woolly fishtail heaven and back, it was time to see what Efi Davies and her team were up to at Xiao Li.

Xiao’s collection fused city and beach life, paying homage to those snatched weekends away at the beach when we otherwise work 20 hour days in cities. Efi’s hair look complemented this with a clean and polished knot to represent the structure of city life, but also slightly roughed up ends to give a contrast of texture and represent the beach. label.m Titanium Pro-50 Styling Irons were the key piece of kit to get the sleek look and perfect end to the knot.

Again, it looked sensational on the catwalk - especially as there’s so much structure in Xiao Li’s clothes.

My last show of the day was a biggun; Swedish School of Textiles showcases the collections of a whopping FIFTEEN designers. And if you’re wondering how you can possibly create a single hair look that can work with 15 different collections then let me tell you now, it’s not easy!

Luckily we had Daniele De Angelis heading up the team and he wasn’t about to let 37 models phase him! Oh yeah, and did I mention there were boys walking too?!

Daniele worked an undone look for both the men and women, so label.m Texturising Volume Spray was a must…

I loved the messy knot look *so* much. A Fashion Fix for the future, perhaps? But why take my word for it? You can already watch the Swedish School of Textiles show here

Of course, you can find more videos from the shows on the TONI&GUY.TV YouTube channel here (do have a look, the videos show off the looks better than my blog posts ever could!) and there are full show reports and more fabby pictures on the TONI&GUY website.

There’s still lots of fun to come, with Giles tomorrow (*squeeeeeeeal*) and Tata Naka and Isabel Garcia just around the corner.

I better get my beauty sleep this evening, if ever there’s a stunning array of supermodels and a sleb filled front row, it’s at Giles!

BRING. IT. ON!
xx
