Day 5 London Fashion Week Tata Naka 21st Feb AW 17
International Artistic Director Cos Sakkas creates tribal-inspired braids at the Tata Naka Presentation AW17
Tata Naka’s AW17 collection was inspired by Tribal Africa and how it has been modernised in recent years. Chequered print and tribal colouring ruled the presentation, respectfully representing the continent in a new and refreshing way.
Following on the from the tribal concept, the hair was a sleek, strong ponytail that created a ‘canvas’ for the surface decoration of flowers. The number and type of flowers symbolised the woman’s place in the tribe and which specific tribe she belongs to.
